LAMP TO THE FEET!

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105).

God is lighting a lamp in your life. When you worship God every day and when you go to church and worship Him, that lamp burns brightly with flame. While writing about the experiences of his life, David says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105).

God is Spirit. You have been created in His image with the Spirit, soul and body. The Scripture also stays as Spirit. Jesus said, “The words that I speak to you are spirit and they are life” (John 6:63). Since the Scripture stays as Spirit, it remains as the light for your Spiritual life.

The Scripture says, “The entrance of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple” (Psalm 119:130). Yes. The Word of God creates light within you. It is being made a light in Spirit. When the Scripture is read and meditated further and further, that light is kindled to become brighter and brighter. I would like to explain to you how to kindle the light in the Scripture, how to make it more bright and to what extent it can be made bright.

See. If a bulb of zero watts is used, the light also will be less. A 25-watt bulb will be with better brightness. In the same way, when bulbs with 40, 60, 100 watts are used, the brightness will be on the increase. The brightness for a 1000-watt bulb is special indeed. What we notice is that electricity is one and there is no change in it but what changes is the brightness. It is the same electricity which makes a zero-watt bulb to burn and it is the same for a 1000 watt bulb too. There is no change in electricity.

But the bulb has the feature of utilising electricity according to the watts. With this feature, it consumes less or more electricity according to the watts. Similarly, God is one without changes. But you will shine in your life in proportion to what extent you bring the power of the Word into your life. God has brought light to your Spirit. He wants that light to shine bright like the sun.

Dear children of God, you will shine in your life in proportion to what extent you read and meditate the Word of God.

To meditate: “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer” (Psalm 19:14).
