WILL BE MADE RICH!

“The generous soul will be made rich and he who waters will also be watered himself” (Proverbs 11:25).

If you want to be blessed both spiritually and worldly, what is essential for you is generosity. Is not God generous? So, He prospers the souls which are generous.

God created the world and all the things in it for you. He has given you fresh air to breathe, good water to drink and good food to eat. He has given you the livestock and the birds. He has given you power and governance. He sacrificed Himself on the Cross of Calvary. He will be giving the dwellings in eternity. How generous He is!

What is it you are going to give Him? Yes. You have to give your heart in full to Him. You have to surrender your life to Him. You have to happily give all your talents, skills and time to Him. What a great blessing it is! The Scripture says, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (III John 1:2).

Heavenly Father wishes and desires that you should prosper in all things and be in health. He blesses you with all the blessings of the Most High. He has graciously given you the gifts and fruits of the Spirit. If you come forward to give generously to others as He has given to you, you will become prosperous. The Scripture says, “Give and it will be given to you” (Luke 6:38).

You are unable to enjoy the blessings of God fully for the reason that you are not giving to God happily and wholeheartedly. The Scripture says, “…there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty” (Proverbs 11:24). Stinginess and miserliness bring nothing but poverty.

Many of your relatives might be in a state of poverty. You may find many believers in your church also being in that pitiable state. You give them generously as far as possible. The Scripture says, “But if anyone does not provide for his own and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever” (I Timothy 5:8).

Dear children of God, what a blessed experience it is to give generously to God for the Gospel to be proclaimed and for the people to get saved! When you give to God, He will return it to you a thousand times. He will open the windows of heaven.

To meditate: “And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward” (Mathew 10:42).
