BLOOD OF CHRIST!
“You were slain and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation and have made us kings and priests” (Revelation 5:9, 10).
The most precious of all the blessings given by God to man is the blessing which comes through His blood. How special and how great it is for Heavenly God to descend to earth for our sake and shed His blood! Peter points out as ‘the precious blood of Christ’ (I Peter 1:19).
The saints remember that blood even in the eternity and praise God, filling with gratitude (Revelation 1:6, 7:14, 5:9). You may come and stand near that Calvary every day with reverence and prayer! Let the big drops of blood of Calvary fall on you. Let the blood of Christ cross over from head to toe of your body, wash you, cleanse you and make you righteous. Let the power of that blood fill you and rule you for the whole day.
When Jesus Christ kept on praying in the Garden of Gethsemane, His sweat came out like great drops of blood and fell on the ground. If that blood of Gethsemane falls on your heart, that Spirit of prayer of Gethsemane will burn a fire of prayer there. It will bring the Spirit of application and the Spirit of pleading into you.
The blood which comes out from the head of Christ wearing a crown of thorns will break the curses which have all along been pricking your life and troubling you greatly. The curse from any of the forefathers or the curse caused by the law could not get nearer to you or your children. Christ has redeemed you from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (Galatians 3:13).
Let the blood which comes from the hands of Christ fall on you. Meditate it every day. Is not your future in His hands? He extends His wounded hand towards you and says, “See, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me” (Isaiah 49:16).
Meditate the blood which comes from the feet of Christ. Did He not crush the head of the enemy under His feet and overcome Him? Let that power of blood keep on getting into you. Then, you will receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
Christ bled as he was logged by whip and accepted the stripes all over His body. The Scripture says, ‘by His stripes, we are healed’ and accordingly God places His wounded arm on you and heals all your sicknesses.
To meditate: “you were … redeemed with …the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” (I Peter 1:18, 19).
