LET GOD ARISE!
“Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; let those also who hate Him flee before Him” (Psalm 68:1).
Meditate the words “will arise.” He will arise to do things for you, to plead for you and to fight for you.
Just imagine a person casually sitting or lying at home. If a bad news like ‘his son being caught in a car accident’ reaches him in that situation, what will he do? He will not be casual thereafter. Is it not? He will rise at once and rush to the accident spot. His affection towards his son makes him act like this.
Is not our heavenly Father a loving one? He could not bear when even a small harm comes to you. He will rise immediately. “He will arise,” says the Scripture. “For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now I will arise,” says the Lord; “I will set him in the safety for which he yearns” (Psalm 12:5).
Do you sigh in your family? Do you groan in your office? Today, He hears the sound of your cry and groaning. He will arise and subdue them. The Scripture says, “For You have been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat; for the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall” (Isaiah 25:4).
Are your problems on the increase? Do the struggles roar at you? Does anything make you think that God is silent in your problems? Come fast and kneel at His feet. Begin to pray with tears. God will never be silent when He sees your tears. He will surely arise for you.
David says, “Arise, O Lord, confront him, cast him down; deliver my life from the wicked with your sword, with your hand from men, O Lord, from men of the world who have their portion in this life” (Psalm 17:13, 14).
Dear children of God, look up to God during the times of both joy and sorrow. The eyes of Stephen saw Christ standing at the right hand of God to help him. Is it not? God will arise for you also.
To meditate: “Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; and therefore, He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him” (Isaiah 30:18).
