WILL BE GLAD IN HEART!

“When he sees you, he will be glad in his heart” (Exodus 4:14).

Many people may visit our home but the visit of some particular persons make our heart rejoice. We welcome them with a happy face. But the visits of some people create fear in our hearts. Oh they are coming home and what confusions these people will create, what quarrels they might bring and to what extent they will destroy the peace in the family.

That day, when Aaron came to meet Moses, God said, “He is also coming out to meet you. When he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.” When two persons who are the sons of the same heavenly Father, who got their thirst quenched by the same love of Calvary, who have been filled with the same Spirit, meet each other, is it not natural for them to feel happy and rejoice? King David says, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1).

Similar to how the heart of Aaron rejoiced on seeing Moses, the heart of Elizabeth rejoiced while meeting Mary, mother of Jesus Christ. The Scripture says that not only Elizabeth but the babe in her womb also leaped at that moment. “And entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit” (Luke 1:40, 41).

When the children of God greet each other, join hands to glorify God, not only our hearts but also every part of our body rejoices.

On seeing Moses, love and joy overflowed in the heart of Aaron. Further, on getting nearer to Moses, Aaron kissed him (Exodus 4:27). Divine love will secrete also in the hearts of those who witnessed this meeting. Is it not? Paul the Apostle says, “Greet one another with a holy kiss” (Romans 16:16, I Peter 5:14).

The biggest deficiency seen in you today is the lack of love. Be it the believers or the servants of God, their hearts do not rejoice while meeting each other. Citing church discrimination, they hate each other. They get afflicted with Spiritual pride and treat the younger brothers with contempt.

Dear children of God, similar to how you have been bought by the blood of Calvary, every other child of God has been bought in the same way. It is a fact that faithful children of God and prayer warriors are there in churches of every denomination. Let your heart rejoice when you meet the children of God.

To meditate: “…when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him” (Luke 15:20).
