HEALING OF CHRIST!

“And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all” (Acts 3:16).

Think about the term “Perfect soundness.” When Peter used the Name of God, the man who was lame from birth received the healing. It was perfect healing with no setbacks of any sort. That is the ‘Perfect soundness’. No medicine or no doctor could provide this perfect soundness. Certain medicines may appear as though they are providing remedies but various other weaknesses develop as the after-effects.   

But if a man is to be provided with ‘Perfect soundness’ it can be done only by Jesus Christ. Read the above-given verse once again. “And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all” (Acts 3:16).

Yes. Faith comes through the Name of Jesus Christ. That faith brings ‘Perfect soundness’. Peter the Apostle said, “Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6).

This should be the explanation of Peter: “One who is within me is a great person. Jesus Christ is His Name. Other than the knowledge about Him, I do not have any worldly knowledge, medical knowledge or higher education. One who is within me is with the Name greater than every other name. So, you rise and walk in His Name”. 

See! Every disease has its name. While the name of the disease ‘AIDS’ is pronounced, we understand what a terrible and life-threatening disease it is. ‘Cancer’ is the name of another dreaded disease. ‘Asthma’ is the name of another disease. But at the same time, the Holy Name of ‘Jesus Christ’ is a powerful Name which could cast out all the severity of the diseases and provide ‘Perfect soundness.’   

At the name of Jesus, every knee would bow, of those in heaven and of those on earth, and of those under the earth and that every tongue would confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Dear children of God, sickness and disease may come from the hade, satan and the viruses but God is powerful to blow out all those things.  

Pronounce His Name again and again. “Lord, I believe that your holy Name is capable of overcoming all sicknesses and weaknesses. There are authority and governance in your Name. Heal me right now, God” thus plead and receive the healing.     

To meditate: “In my name they will …lay hands on the sick and they will recover” (Mark 16:17, 18).
