GARDEN OF THE LORD!

“For the Lord will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places; He will make her wilderness like Eden and her desert like the garden of the Lord; Joy and gladness will be found in it” (Isaiah 51:3).

God is one who comforts you. He comforts and consoles you. From now on, your sorrows will turn into dancing. From now on compassionate God will give you prosperous days. How is God going to bless you? He will turn you into the Garden of Eden. He will make you beautiful similar to His garden. Joy, praise and sound of music will be within you.

Once, when I went to Ooty, I had the opportunity of visiting the flower show. How beautiful the flowers were and what a variety of colours! They attracted both the eyes and the thoughts. If the flowers found in an ordinary garden were so beautiful how beautiful the garden of God would be! What a beautiful venue Eden would be! Yes. God will change you like Eden Garden.

What is the speciality of the Eden Garden? God will descend there every day. In the cool of the day, He descends and strolls there to dwell with men. That itself is a great joy. “The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose” (Isaiah 35:1).

What is the next feature of the Garden of Eden? The river which flowed beautifully there is a special feature. Wherever the river flowed, that bed was rich with Gold and precious stones. While referring this river, the Psalmist says, “There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God …..” (Psalm 46:4).

That river is the one which flows from heaven. John the Apostle looked up to it. He saw the river to be a pure river of water of life; clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb (Revelation 22:1).

Dear children of God, how blessed it is for God to dwell with you! How blessed it is for Him to stay happily with you!

God was there in the Garden of Eden. A river which is the Holy Spirit was there. Further, there were trees which yielded sweet fruits. The Scripture says that every tree in the garden was pleasant to the sight and also good for eating (Genesis 2:9).

When the river of Holy Spirit flows, it is quite natural that all the fruits of the Spirit will be available there. Dear children of God, may God Himself lead you into the experience of giving fruits. Hallelujah!

To meditate: “And the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads” (Isaiah 35:10).
