GOD IS WITH YOU!
“…for the Lord will go before you and the God of Israel will be your rear guard” (Isaiah 52:12).
The Lord goes before you. He will be the rear guard too. What an amazing thing it is! Once, a brother went to attend an interview for a high-level post. On his way, he prayed saying, “Lord, your presence should go before me. I should find grace in the eyes of the one who interviews me.”
On reaching the venue, he was told that the interview will be on the upstairs and so he began to climb the stairs. Suddenly, a voice told him to count the steps he was climbing. In obedience to the voice, he counted the steps. On entering the hall, he found many big officials seated to interview him.
Do you know, what the first question put forward to that brother in the interview was? They asked, “You have come here through the steps. Can you tell how many steps you crossed to reach here?” Since God had already revealed this question to him, he immediately came out with the correct answer. The interviewers were surprised at the right answer. The brother was able to answer the other questions also correctly. God helped that brother get the appointment.
Dear children of God, every day on waking up from bed, will you pray to say, “God, your presence should go before me. It is you who should go before me”? Do not forget He goes like a powerful God when He goes before you. When He went ahead, the Red Sea split into two, river Jordan turned back and the walls of Jericho collapsed.
Micah, the prophet says, “The one who breaks open will come up before them; they will break out, pass through the gate and go out by it; Their king will pass before them, with the Lord at their head” (Micah 2:13).
Satan may bring so many hurdles against your family life and your Spiritual life. If you faithfully pray saying, “God, you should go in front of me”, He will surely go before you and clear all the hurdles. Has He not promised, “I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron” (Isaiah 45:2). Dear children of God, as the Lord goes before you, may you move ahead merrily and excitedly enthusiastically.
To meditate: “…when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him” (Isaiah 59:19).
