COMING OF CHRIST!

“Therefore, you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect” (Mathew 24:44).

Every second you spend, you are moving closer to the glorious Coming of Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

I saw a book hanging in a book shop and I was surprised to see its title. The title was “Jesus Christ will not come”. The author had listed many reasons in support of his title. “He did not achieve anything during His first coming. Why will He come for the second time? He will not come. All the servants of Christ are not faithful. Is He going to come to see this? He will not come”. All such things had been written in it. The author of the book was a Christian. The responsibility of a Christian is to make mankind ready for the Second Coming of Christ and how sad it is for a Christian to write that Jesus Christ will not come!

Dear children of God, are you leading a life which suits to face the Coming of Christ? Are you prepared to meet Christ? Are you preparing a group of people ready for the Second Coming of Christ? Think over it. He has given the talents to all, as described in the Scripture, for one to do His ministry until His Coming. It may be five talents or two talents or one talent and whatever it may be, you should carry out the ministry with that. You have to gain souls with that. Beyond this, do not forget that you have to account for the talents bestowed upon you.

Many people are left disinterested in their ministry as they have lost the vision of the Coming; also, they resort to wilful sins. But, at the same time, when one leads a life expecting the glorious Coming of Christ, he will not only be one to overcome the sins but also, he will be fervent in praying and reading the Scripture. The believers may be aware or unaware of the Coming of Christ but what is sure is that satan knows the Coming of Christ. That is why satan prowls around looking to devour someone knowing that the time is short for him; accelerates the sins and iniquities.

Do not think that the Coming of Christ will happen after a few years. The Scripture says that it will be at an unexpected time. So, lead a life with an expectation to face the Coming of Christ on the next minute. The Scripture says, “For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be, but of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only” (Mathew 24:27, 36).

To meditate: “And behold, I am coming quickly and my reward is with me, to give to every one according to his work” (Revelation 22:12).
